Stroke Analysis
Technique doesn’t just limit your capabilities on the court – it can also impact your longevity. There are few sports that require movements as complex as tennis strokes. While we put as much information as we can on our website and emails, your situation is unique. Your body doesn’t move quite like anyone else’s. With stroke analysis we can do video breakdown of what’s actually going on when you hit a tennis ball. There’s no better way to learn than seeing what you’re actually doing with explicit feedback on what you should be doing.
Tactical Analysis
Most of the ‘normal’ tennis statistics aren’t useful. With a combined 30+ years of coaching college and professional players we’ve watched thousands of matches. One thing we do know: there’s no single answer that works for everyone. We have to look beyond stats like “aces” and “unforced errors” to the controllables that actually make the difference between winning and losing. There are patterns that work for your strengths and your weaknesses. Patterns that shift the odds in your favor. To find them, we need to watch your match video and figure out what those are. How often is your first shot after your serve a forehand? What’s your winning percentage when you get a forehand versus a backhand? Which serves earn you which shot? Let’s find out!
Strength and Conditioning
When we train players, we don’t just want them to be strong, explosive, and have stamina. We want to build robust bodies that can withstand the rigors of matches and training. Maybe tennis is your full time job. Maybe it’s what you do to unwind from your job. Either way, there’s a way to build your conditioning with the time and equipment you have access to. Everyone needs a plan. We can help build that plan for you, and work with you through it.
Practice Structure/Schedule
We recorded a podcast titled on “why your practice probably sucks.” We did it because they probably do (and ours did too for a long time!). Putting meaningful work in on the court is hard. Spending years playing tennis every week and not getting better is even harder. We can plan out what your practices should look like, and guide them on a weekly basis. Unconvinced?
